Embodied Intimacy and Sexual Wellness
Coming home to sensation, desire, intimacy, and the pleasure of being fully alive.

“I thought we were going to talk about how to have better sex. Instead I started noticing all these tiny places where I disappeared from myself during intimacy. That ended up changing much more than our sex life.”
The practice
How embodied intimacy works
This work has gathered over many years through formal training in trauma, nervous system health, holistic sexual wellness, sacred sexuality, and Neo-Tantra, alongside years of study and apprenticeship with teachers who have shaped these fields. What has emerged is less a particular technique and more a way of meeting the body honestly.
At the center of the work is the understanding that sexuality is embodied. Desire, pleasure, boundaries, connection, and intimacy are not simply things we think about or decide. They are experiences that happen through the body and nervous system, shaped by our histories, relationships, experiences, and the messages we have received about who we are allowed to be and what we are allowed to want.
And yet, so much of the time we sequester our sexuality to the bedroom. We enter that space carrying an amalgamation of what we've seen, what culture has taught us, what partners have reflected back to us, what past experiences have shaped, and the identities we've created for ourselves as sexual beings. It's no wonder we can find ourselves repeating the same patterns, having the same kinds of sex, or losing touch with what we actually want.
Embodied intimacy is, in many ways, exactly what it sounds like. It is an opportunity to get back into the body and become curious about who you actually are there. What happens when you follow sensation rather than a script? What do you want when you aren't performing what you think you should want? What happens when desire, pleasure, boundaries, movement, sound, curiosity, and choice are allowed to become something you discover rather than something you already need to know?
For many of us, there can be a significant distance between understanding ourselves intellectually and actually experiencing freedom, choice, pleasure, and connection in our bodies. This work gives us a place to explore that distance without an agenda for how your sexuality should look.
There is no particular version of sexuality we are working toward. The invitation is to become more intimate with yourself, more able to hear and trust what is true in your body, and more free to discover who you are as an embodied sexual being.
In session
What we do together
Our sessions may draw from tantric practices, modern sexology, breath, meditation, body-informed movement, nervous system work, somatic inquiry, and practices that explore sensation, boundaries, desire, pleasure, and connection. What we use depends on you, what you are bringing, and what begins to emerge as we work together.
At its heart, the invitation is toward greater intimacy: with yourself, with a partner if there is one, and with your own experience of being alive.
This work asks a wider question than the word sex can usually carry. Sexuality may be where we begin, but what we encounter there often touches much more: how we inhabit our bodies, how we relate to desire, how we give and receive, where we protect ourselves, what we allow ourselves to want, and how much of ourselves we feel free to bring into relationship.
In that sense, the work can become a rediscovery of who you are, here, in a body, in relationship with a living world.
For whom
Who is embodied intimacy for?
This work may be for you if you are:
- Feeling disconnected from your sensual or sexual self and wanting to rediscover more aliveness, vitality, and pleasure in your body.
- Curious about desire, pleasure, or changes in your sexuality and wanting space to explore what is true for you now.
- Ready to work with shame, fear, inhibition, or old messages about sex and the body so there can be more freedom, choice, and possibility.
- Interested in how stress, trauma, or nervous system patterns may be shaping your experience of intimacy and wanting to develop a different relationship with what happens in your body.
- Wanting to become more attuned to your own desire, boundaries, impulses, and longings, and more able to trust what your body is communicating.
- Exploring consent, communication, giving and receiving, and wanting to feel more confident expressing what you want and what you don't.
- Wanting to experience more sensation and pleasure and learn embodied or tantric practices that can expand the ways you experience yourself sexually.
- Longing for greater intimacy, connection, play, or erotic vitality with a partner and wanting to discover new ways of meeting one another.
- Curious about your sexuality even though nothing is particularly wrong, and interested in what might become possible when you give this part of yourself more attention.
- Wanting to feel more at home in your body, more connected to your instinctual self, and more free to inhabit your sexuality as your own.
You don't need to arrive with a clearly defined problem or goal. Curiosity is enough of a place to begin.
