There are things we long for that are easy to name, and others that live somewhere beneath language. A person. A place. Touch. Belonging. Freedom. Rest. Adventure. A different way of living. Something we've lost, something we've never had, or something we can feel pulling at us without quite knowing what it is. We're often quick to do something with our longing. We pursue it, judge it, dismiss it, try to satisfy it, or convince ourselves we shouldn't want what we want.

The Ache & The Offering is an invitation to spend an afternoon getting curious about the things we ache for without needing to make them happen or make them go away. We'll work with the body, the land, movement, symbolism, and quiet reflection, allowing longing to be something we experience rather than something we need to solve.

What we might explore

  • Embodied practices exploring how longing, wanting, and desire live in the body.
  • A short walk into the surrounding landscape, noticing what catches our attention and what we're naturally drawn toward.
  • Time alone on the land for reflection, curiosity, and listening.
  • Working with natural objects and symbolism to give form to something that may be difficult to name.
  • Creating a simple offering to honor what we're longing for rather than asking ourselves to release it.
  • An invitation to return to the circle and share what emerged. Sharing is always optional.

At 5:00, we'll gather around the table for seasonal bites, tea, and something sweet. This will be light food rather than a full dinner, so please plan accordingly. You don't need to arrive knowing what you're longing for. Perhaps that's part of the invitation.

On the table: seasonal bites, tea, and something sweet. This will be light food rather than a full dinner, so please plan accordingly.

Your place is held once registration and payment are complete. Because we gather at a private residence, we'll then schedule a short conversation before the day, and I'll send the exact address and arrival details. If you don't see a time that works, call or email me and I'll make time for us to talk.

If you'd rather talk first, you're welcome to reach out.
