There are times when we need to gather. To step away from the noise of our lives, sit among other women, and listen for what has been difficult to hear on our own. To make room for the quieter knowing that can emerge when we don't have all the answers and can't yet see what comes next.
Twenty Crows is an evening gathering for women centered around council, embodied practice, ceremony, and time together on the new moon. We will move and listen, speak and witness, and make room for what is changing, ending, emerging, or simply asking for our attention. Crows have long lived at the edges of the known and unknown—watchful, intelligent, communal creatures whose presence asks us to pay attention. Twenty Crows takes its name from an encounter with twenty of them that stopped me in my tracks and stayed with me.
What we might explore
- —Embodied practices that help us slow down, arrive more fully, and listen to what our bodies are communicating.
- —Council as a practice of speaking, listening, and witnessing one another without advice, fixing, or needing to have an answer.
- —Exploring what we know in the dark: the quieter truths, instincts, longings, and questions that can become more perceptible when we stop trying to see the whole way forward.
- —Movement, silence, reflection, and symbolism as ways of listening beyond the thinking mind.
- —Ceremony to acknowledge what may be changing, ending, emerging, or asking for our attention.
- —Time outside, weather permitting, allowing the land and darkness to become part of our listening.
- —The simple and ancient practice of women gathering together, making room for what becomes possible in one another's company.
You don't need to arrive knowing what you're working with or what the evening is supposed to reveal. Come with what is present. We'll begin there.

- —This gathering will take place primarily indoors, with some time outside if the weather allows. Please bring warm layers and closed-toed shoes.
- —Space is intentionally limited. Despite the name, twenty is the number of crows, not the guest list.
- —The exact address and arrival details will be shared after registration.
